• In 2007, the Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau claims the title of Queensland’s best Convention Bureau/Tourist Organisation at the 2006 Meetings and Events Industry Awards (Queensland).
• In 2006, the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre – Australia’s most awarded convention centre – is officially ranked as one of the world’s top three convention centres by the prestigious International Association of Congress Centres.
• In 2007, Brisbane Airport records the second highest number of international arrivals into Australia.
• In 2005 the Brisbane Airport Corporation is recognised as the world’s most customer focused and efficient privatised airport with the awarding of the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) 2005 Eagle Award. In the same year the Brisbane Airport is also recognised as the Australian Airports Association Major Airport of the Year.
• In 2005 and 2007 Brisbane’s Airtrain is named the best customer service provider at the Australian Service Excellence Awards.
