Brisbane joins Dreamtime 09

With a fresh new brand and citywide commitment to becoming Australia’s most sustainable city, Brisbane is joining Tourism Australia’s efforts to sell Australia as the ideal incentive destination.

Brisbane Marketing’s Director, Convention Bureau, Ms Annabel Sullivan said she was looking forward to supporting the Dreamtime 09 program and was delighted to see the event’s focus on positioning Australia as a world-class sustainable destination for corporate meetings and incentives.

Ms Sullivan said Brisbane would capitalise on its branding as Australia’s new world city with an action-packed itinerary for buyers participating in the Brisbane/Sunshine Coast educational.

“Brisbane offers an attractive alternative to Australia’s traditional incentive destinations,” said Ms Sullivan.

“As the nation’s most biologically diverse capital, Brisbane offers all the comforts and pleasures of an urban destination along with exceptional nature-based experiences.

“Our educational itinerary will see buyers bike riding through city gardens, engaging with a local Aboriginal tribe in an interactive singing and dancing experience, enjoying fresh local organic produce in a cooking school and dining on a city beach by starlight.”

Ms Sullivan said the educational itinerary provided only a brief taste of Brisbane’s incentive offer and she cited Brisbane’s Story Bridge Adventure Climb, Gallery of Modern Art and Moreton Island as other must-do inclusions for incentive itineraries.
